2kg heroin seized in Lahore
LAHORE: ASF authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) claimed to have seized more than 2Kg heroin and arrested four people on Sunday.
Spokesman of ASF said that ASF not only recovered heroin and arrested traffickers but also nabbed the traffickers. He said that a passenger Sakeena Bibi in her 50s resident of Thokar Niaz Beg was going to board PIA’s Duabi bound flight Pk–203.
During security check ASF officials recovered 1.110 Kgs heroin from her trolley bag. Then on the same flight another passenger Shahid Rehman resident of Sangla Hill was arrested and one Kg heroin was recovered from his luggage. He had concealed the heroin in a shampoo bottle. Both passengers were supposed to smuggle narcotics from Dubai to Liberia.
A facilitator Aftab Ahmad was arrested who had visited airport to facilitate Shahid Rehman in smuggling the said heroin. ASF handed over the accused to Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) for further action.
