Peshawar: NAB arrests 2 for illegal allotment of land
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday arrested Muhammad Azam, an official of the office of Deputy Settlement Commissioner Peshawar, and one Muhammad Aslam for fraudulently issuing and attesting fake record to illegally allot a precious plot of land in Risalpur Cantonment in Nowshera district.
The NAB’s communiqué issued here stated that the case was referred by the Peshawar High Court with the directives to fix criminal liability against the accused for misusing authority. Taking cognizance of the case, it said an inquiry was authorised against the accused and later it was upgraded to investigation. The NAB official said the first information report (FIR) had also been registered against the accused.
