Police arrest 2 impersonators in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: The police have arrested two members of a gang who have been looting gullible people by impersonating as officials of sensitive institutions of the country. The swindlers have been looting people by putting a fake green number plate and revolving light on their vehicle, posing as officials of the security agencies.
The accused were identified as Shahid Munawar and Mohsin Khan. The police have seized four fake number plates, four p-caps, and a registration book from them. During the initial investigation, they confessed that they have been committing crimes in different areas of the city by impersonating them as employees of sensitive institutions. According to reports, following special instructions from SP Mustansar Feroze, the police stopped a suspicious car bearing a green registration number at Rawal Dam–Chowk. The two people riding the car introduced themselves as officials of a security agency but could not prove their identity, the police said. The police searched the car and seized two number plates, along with one revolving light, four p-caps, and a registration book. The police have registered a case against the accused and have started the investigations.
