Dera Ismail Khan: 32 students arrested, freed in Gomal varsity
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Gomal University police arrested and freed 32 students for disrupting a function of the Gomal University Academic Staff Association (GUASA), police said on Wednesday.
They said a group of students wanted to disrupt a function of the faculty union at the Abdul Qadir Khan Auditorium. However, the faculty asked the police to bring the situation under control.
After the arrival of the police, the students moved towards the examination halls of the university and tried to stop the students from taking the exam. The police sources said 32 students were arrested after they threw stones at the cops. However, the arrested students were later freed.
