Police arrests outlaws, weapons from capital
ISLAMABAD: The police Monday arrested ten outlaws from various areas of city and recovered 102 wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, Shehzad town police team headed by ASI, Sajid Mehmud started checking in the area and signalled to stop a Suzuki Mehran vehicle (ICT-ZA-283) near `Alipur stop. The car driver tried to speed away but police team headed by ASI Sajid Mehmud managed to stop it and recovered 100 wine bottles from it. The Police arrested the driver Shehbaz Qaisar s/o Ghulam Masih resident of Phulgran Islamabad and started further investigation from him. Meanwhile, Aabpara police arrested Nadeem Boota Masih for having two wine bottles while Sabzi Mandi police arrested Ismail in possession of one Kalashnikov and ammunition. Bani Gala police arrested Akhtar Zada for decanting gas in cylinders illegally. CIA police recovered 30 bore pistol from an accused Ismail while Loi Bher police arrested a thief Faisal. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During crackdown against criminals at large, the police have arrested four absconders. Ten vehicles and 70 bikes were also impounded during checking which were being driven without authentic documents.
