Islamabad: 36 outlaws held; wine, hashish and weapons recovered
ISLAMABAD: The police have nabbed 36 outlaws besides recovering weapons, hashish, and wine from them, a police spokesperson said on Saturday.
According to reports, the Bani Gala police arrested two bootleggers and recovered nine cans of beer and wine bottle from their possession. The Shahzad Town police arrested an accused and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while the Ramana police arrested 13 accused persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities during a raid at Mirabadia. The Bhara Kau police arrested two persons allegedly involved in murder and recovered the murder weapon (30 bore pistol) from them.
The Sabzi Mandi police nabbed 12 persons in violation of section 144. The Ramana police arrested an accused for having four bottles of wine while another accused was apprehended for giving his house on rent to a proclaimed offender. The Nilore police arrested two thieves while two proclaimed offenders were also arrested during efforts to nab criminals at large. During checking in various areas of the city, 70 motorbikes and four vehicles were impounded for being driven without authentic documents. Moreover, a traveler carrying 5 kilogrammes of heroin has been detained from the Rawalpindi Airport. The accused has been handed over to the Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) for further investigation. According to reports, a drug peddler going to London was detained during inspection by Airport Security Force (ASF) and 5 kilogrammes of heroin was recovered from him. The traveler is a resident of Kalar Saydan who was going to London through PIA from the Benazir International Airport. The heroin recovered from his custody is worth of millions of dollars in the international markets. After early interrogation of the ASF, the accused was handed over to the ANF for further investigation.
