Kidnapper arrested, boy recovered in Burewala
BUREWALA: The police claimed to have arrested a kidnapper and recovered a six-year-old boy abducted for ransom from Chak 481/EB. Addressing a press conference at SDPO office here on Tuesday, Vehari DPO Sadiq Ali Dogar said that Asghar Ali of Chak 481/EB informed them that his brother Abid Hussain with his (Asghar) son Ghulam Mustafa had gone to the city to sell a motorcycle from where unknown people kidnapped the boy and were demanding Rs 700,000 for his release. He said that a case was registered and a team was formed led by DSP Mukhtar Ahmad Joiya to recover the boy.
The DPO claimed that team started investigations on the basis of received calls, identified the location of the callers, traced them near Mauza Sawai, Donga Bonga, Bahawalnagar, within 20 hours and recovered the boy without any ransom. During investigations, it was revealed that Abid Hussain with his brother-in-law Muhammad Ajmal had planned the kidnap drama.
Vehari DPO appreciated Fateh Shah SHO Muhammad Bukhsh, SI Muhammad Tufail, ASI Allah Ditta and others policemen for tracing the kidnappers and recovering the abductee within 24 hours.
