Several Uzbeks arrested in Karachi overnight raids
KARACHI: Following an intense attack at Karachi airport last Sunday, different security agencies conducted raids in different areas of the metropolis and rounded up at least a dozen Uzbek nationals, SAMAA reported Sunday.
According to sources, police, the rangers and intelligence agencies undertook raids in different areas of the megacity including Gadap, Manghopir, Sohrab Goth and Kunwari Colony and nailed over dozen Uzbeks.
It should be mentioned here that the law-enforcement agencies were ordered from the top command to speed up the action against the conspirators on Karachi airport attack.
Meantime, the law–enforcers have been put on high alert in view of the precarious situation. The security has further been heightened at all the entrances and exits of the metropolis.
The procedure of security checks has been expedited across the city.
