Islamabad: Several criminals arrested; drugs, weapons seized
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: The police under its ongoing drive against the anti–social elements have arrested 13 lawbreakers besides recovering over 3,220 grammes of charas, 40 litres of wine, three pistols of 30 bore with 12 rounds, one pistol of 32 bore with four rounds, and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the arrested accused.
According to the Rawalpindi police spokesperson, the Bunni police held a man for having 530 grammes of charas. The Race Course police netted another accused and recovered 510 grammes of charas while one more man was sent behind the bars for possessing 510 grammes of charas. The Taxila police rounded up an accused on recovery of 1,150 grammes of charas. The Jatli police also recovered 520 grammes of charas from another accused. The Morgah police nabbed a man and recovered 40 litres of wine. The Jatli police held another accused and seized a stolen motorcycle.
The New Town police arrested two others accused and recovered snatched money and mobile phones from their possession. Others accused were also rounded up for having illegal weapons and other items. On the other hand, the Bhara Kahu police during a routine patrol found an offender carrying a thirty bore pistol with three rounds of ammunition. A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged with the Bhara Kahu Police Station. In another incident, the Bhara Kahu police, during a routine patrol found a crook carrying 500 grammes of charas. An FIR has been lodged with the Bhara Kahu Police Station. Moreover, a dead body of an unknown person aged between 25/30 was recovered from the woods near to the Sector F11 Markaz. An FIR has been lodged with the Shalimar Police Station. The police check point at Golra hailed a car to stop. The police later recovered 100 grammes of charas from the car. An FIR has been lodged with the Golra Police Station.
