2 revenue officials booked in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Anti–Corruption Establishment Rawalpindi Division booked two officials of revenue department for tampering the land owning documents of a widow and depriving her and her children of ancestral land, sources informed on Monday.
The revenue officials against whom the case was registered with ACE Rawalpindi division, included a naib tehsildar and patwari of Rawal Bala, tehsil and district Chakwal, while ACE Assistant Director Malik Ijaz has been appointed as inquiry officer, sources added. According to sources, a woman appeared before ACE Chakwal circle and lodged a complaint that the relatives of her late husband in collaboration of naib tehsildar and patwari tempered land owning documents and deprived her and her children of land possession.
A case was registered against the two revenue department officials on the orders of ACE Rawalpindi division. Meanwhile, ACE DD Malik Ijaz instructed the accused to record their statements before the inquiry officer.
