Islamabad: 3 housemaids arrested over theft charges
ISLAMABAD: The Ramana police have arrested three women who used to work in houses as domestic servants and deprive the house owners from their valuables, a police spokesperson said on Friday.
Following some complaints of theft in houses by housemaids, SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara assigned a task to Ramana Police Station SHO to trace the accused. A special team was constituted for this purpose that worked hard and arrested three women who used to strike in houses after getting an opportunity. The nabbed women were residents of Chak number 19, Sargodha and the police team also recovered gold ornaments and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from them. He said that people offer their services at low wages and look for an opportunity to strike and steal the valuables after getting the confidence of the house inmates and deprive them of their belongings. The SSP said that it is the duty of the police to ensure the protection to the lives and property of the citizens but people should also adopt precautionary measures to avoid any kind of such mishaps.
