Islamabad: 19 wanted criminals nabbed during last month
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 19 hardened criminals during last one month who were wanted to police in blind murder cases, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and dacoity incidents, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
He said that IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan directed all police officials to ensure arrest of those criminals involved in crime cases of heinous nature. Police arrested three persons involved in blind murder case as they killed Jabber Ahmed in Koral police area after snatching tractor trolley from him on September 11, 2014 and dumped his body in area of Bani Gala police.
They have been identified as accused Fiaz Ali, Zeeshan and Shakeel and are being investigated further. In another murder case, police arrested accused Shehzad and Rafaqat who killed Gohar Rehman and dumped his body near railway crossing in Sabzi Mandi police area.
Police identified the deceased through his fingerprints and came to know about his the whereabouts. Similarly, Sabzi Mandi police traced the murder case of Jamal Khan and arrested accused Bakhtiar involved in assassinating him. Another murder case of a woman was traced as her body was found from Park Road, Korang town in Loi Bher police area. Police came to know about her identity as Khalida through finger prints and her alleged assassin Ghulam Shabbir was apprehended.
A murder case of Najeebi Bibi was traced through her mobile record by Koral police and her allged killer Gul Nawaz was nabbed. Shehzad town police arrested four alleged kidnappers Mir Dad Khan, Naseer Uddin, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mardan Ali and recovered abducted person Ali Aziz safely without paying ransom amount to the accused.
A proclaimed offender Nur was arrested by Bhara Kahu police while Sabzi Mandi polcie arrested arrested three extortionists accused Habib, Shamas ur Rehman and Rehmat Wali. Sabzi Mandi police arrested Bakhtawar, Ghani, Nasir and Bakhtiar for their alleged involvement in dacoity incidents.
