Rawalpindi: 17 lawbreakers including 4 gamblers rounded up
RAWALPINDI: Police in its drive against anti–social elements have arrested 17 lawbreakers including four gamblers and recovered 4980 grams of charras, four pistols 30 bore with 13 rounds and 119 liter of wine from the possession of the arrested.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Mundra police netted Mehdi Ghulam for having 3300 grams charras in his possession. Saddar Baroni police recovered 1150 grams of charras from Zulqarnain. Bunni police held Akram for possessing 530 grams charras.
Airport police arrested Organzaib for carrying 90-liters of wine. Pirwadhai police booked Attique and recovered 10 liter wine while Khurram was sent behind the bars for having eight liter wine. Waris Khan police seized six–liter wine and held Sulman. Bunni police rounded up Sajjad with five–liter wine.
Meanwhile Westridge police on a tip-off conducted a raid in Peshawar Road area and arrested Saddam, Rais, Arslan and Noor Ali who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards. Police recovered Rs 3640 cash stake money and other items from them.
