Rawalpindi: ANF recovers 6.8 kilograms of heroin
RAWALPINDI: The Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered a huge cache of heroin from a passenger at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) who was leaving for Spain via Dubai on Thursday, airport sources said. A passenger identified as Mohammad Arshad, son of Ghulam Rasool, hailing from Gujrat, was intercepted by the ANF on a tip off as he entered into the airport to proceed to Spain by Emirates flight EK–613 and took him to the ANF office, sources in the ANF said. Sources said that during search of his baggage, the ANF recovered 6.8 kilograms of heroin powder concealed in specially-made cavities in his briefcase and hand luggage. He was shifted to the ANF Police Station for further investigation.
Sources said that the arrested man has links with international drug mafia active in Europe.
