Islamabad: NAB Sindh arrests 2 bank officials
ISLAMABAD: NAB Sindh arrested two senior bank officials on charges of corruption and corrupt practices. The NAB Sindh arrested former SVP, National Investment Trust Mirza Sanaullah Baig and an ex-Branch Manager Crescent Commercial Bank Kamran Zafar from Karachi for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of Rs16.18 fund.
The accused Mirza Sanaullah Baig, SVP, NIT processed fake applications on which two income Distribution Warrants (IDWs) were issued and one of the IDW was deposited in Crescent Commercial Bank, presently Samba Bank.
Other accused, Kamran Zafar being the Branch Manager Crescent Commercial Bank opened a fake account from which one IDW was encashed. “Both the accused are presently in judicial custody,” it added.
