Karachi: Rangers arrest 9 suspected target killers
KARACHI: Rangers arrested nine suspects allegedly involved in target killings and seized weapons from them during a crackdown in Lyari on Tuesday.
A Rangers spokesman said the law enforcers launched a raid in Akal Bonga, Ramswami and arrested nine criminals, including target killers and extortionists, associated with a political party. Bulletproof jackets, weapons, including Awan grenades, and a large quantity of ammunition were seized in the raid.
In another intelligence–driven operation, Rangers arrested five suspected gangsters in the Old Golimar abrea. They were said to be involved in the Lyari gang war. Weapons, including submachine guns and hand grenades, and narcotics were found on them.
