Islamabad: ANF recovers narcotics at BBIA
ISLAMABAD: The Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday recovered heroin from a 47-year-old Dubai-bound British-Pakistani female passenger at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) and arrested the accused.
“The accused hails from Quetta and holds British nationality and is currently residing in Glasgow, United Kingdom,” the ANF said in a statement.
The ANF airport team, during routine profiling at the BBIA, detained the female passenger along with her 13-month-old granddaughter and recovered heroin concealed in the passenger’s bag.
Separately, the ANF airport team seized a Toyota Corolla from the parking area of BBIA and recovered heroin from the car. Two suspects were apprehended on the spot.
The ANF Rawalpindi airport team intercepted a consignment containing 340 baby suits of a courier company and recovered heroin concealed in it. The heroin was packed in 56 small packets and was woven in the clothes.
