Lahore: Fake call lands gal in lock-up
LAHORE: Police have arrested a 20-year-old girl who made a fake call on the police emergency service (Rescue–15) to implicate her ex–lover in a terrorism case, a Lahore police spokesperson said on Monday.
Identified as Zoya Bibi, the girl told the police that she wanted to disrupt the wedding ceremony of her ex-lover, Asif, a resident of Kot Radha Kishan. Police said that the girl made a call at the Rescue–15 by using her mobile and alleged that Asif had been involved in the Wahga border bombing.
A case was also registered with the Gulshan–e-Iqbal police station against the lady under section 25/D of the Telegraph Act. Further investigation was underway.
