106 Afghans arrested in Peshawar crackdown
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Police on Monday arrested 106 Afghans residing illegally in the city. A press release said 106 Afghans residing illegally in the city were arrested under the 14 Foreigners’ Act during a crackdown.
In addition, 99 other criminals, seven proclaimed offenders and 37 other suspects were also arrested during the action. Separately, the KP police claimed in a handout that 222 suspects had been held in search operations and 265 rounded up in snap checking in various districts of the province. They said that 56 Afghans and 11 locals were also arrested for violating rules about the use of loudspeakers.
