Islamabad: 22 suspects, 15 outlaws nabbed
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 22 suspects during search operation conducted in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Police teams conducted search in the area of Sector D–12 and succeeded to nab 22 suspects who are being investigated further. SSP Islamabad has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city. Furthermore, Islamabad police have arrested 15 outlaws including 11 gamblers from various areas of the city, besides recovering stolen car, stake money, and 1.5-kg hashish and looted items from their possession.
On a tip-off, Shalimar police raided at a house in F-10 area and arrested 11 gamblers who were later identified as Ali, Kashif, Danyal, Juniad, Qaisar, Khalid, Ghulam Badshah, Ahmed Khan, Sultan Nasir, Taj and Sher Zaman. Police team also recovered stake money and gambling tools from their possession. Meanwhile, Shalimar police recovered one 30–bore pistol from an accused Muqaddas.
Koral police have arrested two accused Anwar and Nazeer and recovered 1.555 kilograms hashish and one 30-bore pistol from them respectively. Bhara Kahu police have arrested an accused Naveed and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Ramana police have recovered one stolen car from the possession of Abid Raza. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
