Islamabad: 12 outlaws, 20 suspects arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 12 outlaws from various areas of the city, besides recovering stolen valuables, 2.80 kilograms hashish, wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
According to details, Ramana police arrested Muhammad Khan and recovered stolen bike from his possession. Kohsar police arrested Babu Khan and recovered one 12–bore gun as well as 92 bullets from him. Secretariat police arrested two accused Bashir Khan and Sharif and recovered 1.50 kilograms hashish and one 30-bore pistol from them respectively. Margalla police arrested a thief identified as Mohsin while Noon police arrested Sheraz Khan, Zafran and Aitzaz for having weapons as well as ammunition.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested a drug pusher Anees and recovered 1.30 kilograms hashish from him. Bani Gala police arrested a bootlegger namely Nasir Khan and recovered wine bottles from him. Tarnol police arrested Islam for having 30-bore pistol while Golra police arrested Afzal Khan in possession of 30–bore pistol. Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 26 suspects during search operation conducted in various areas of the city. IGP Tahir Alam has directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation at slum areas, Afghan habitats, under–construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns.
Following his directions, Sub–divisional police officers of Islamabad police headed this search operation in the areas of Cokena and Talhar Society area and succeeded to nab 26 suspects who are being investigated further.
