Peshawar: Alleged mastermind of suicide attack arrested
PESHAWAR: An anti–terror squad arrested Nabi Gul, the alleged mastermind of Paharipura suicide bombing, during a raid on a hideout on Thursday.
Gul, who carries a bounty on his head of Rs0.5 million, was the alleged mastermind of Paharipura suicide bombing in 2009. On a tip-off, the anti–terror squad conducted a raid on a hideout on the outskirts of Peshawar and caught the suspect, who is associated with the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. The security officials also seized a suicide vest and arms from the suspect’s possession. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
