Lakki Marwat: 4 ‘TTP men’ arrested in KP
LAKKI MARWAT: The Counter–Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday claimed to have arrested the mastermind of a suicide bombing at a volleyball match in 2010, in which at least 105 people were killed and over 100 were injured.
According to security officials, the CTD personnel raided in Lakki Marwat district and arrested Ahmed Ali, the brother of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader, who bombed the stadium during a volleyball match.
Meanwhile, the CTD Peshawar chapter arrested two terrorist commanders of banned TTP during counterterrorism raids, said officials. According to CTD officials, the personnel of CTD conducted counterterrorism raids and arrested Said Amin Jan and Shah Khalid. Another terrorist of Lashkar–e-Islam was arrested by police from Badaber area of Peshawar.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had announced Rs 1 million as head money for the arrested terrorists. They were wanted to law enforcement agencies in attacks on security forces, extortions and incidents of target killing, said the CTD officials.
