Islamabad: CIA busts gang of street criminals
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have busted a gang of street criminals and recovered stolen bike, snatched mobile phone, weapons, and looted valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted special teams under supervision of CIA DSP Basheer Ahmed Noon to trace the street criminals involved in crime incidents in the area after receiving some complaints. These teams including, ASIs Ameer Sajjad, Tipu Sulatan and Head Constable, made out all efforts to trace these criminals and finally busted a gang involved in street crime.
The gang members have been identified as Muhammad Balil, Luqman Saddique and Ali Raza. Police team also recovered two pistols with ammunition, snatched mobile phones, stolen bike and snatched cash from their possession.
They have confessed their involvement in several cases of street crime in Ramana, Margalla, Shalimar, Aabpara and Rawalpindi area while further investigation is underway from them. Inspector General of Police Tahir Alam Khan and Islamabad SSP Mir Vais Niaz have appreciated this overall performance of CIA and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance in their respective area and curb activities of anti–social elements.
