Peshawar: KP NAB arrests accused for misusing public money
PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday in a successful raid arrested Mumtaz Ali Khan, a private person, who deprived general public of more than Rs22 million on pretext of false sale and purchase of land in districts Mardan and Swabi.
The accused was absconder since November 26, 2013. During the course of inquiry, the accused Mumtaz Ali Khan has minted Rs22 million from general public and promised them for providing property.
After receiving money the accused neither handed over the land nor returned the hard earned money of general public rather misappropriated the same. The NAB has already arrested Muhammad Munir, Asad Javed and Patwari Akbar Khan on November 26, 2013 from various places of districts Mardan and Swabi. While the accused Mumtaz Ali Khan was absconded himself and disappeared from the scene.
