Car lifters, dacoits arrested in the capital
ISLAMABAD: Anti Car lifting Cell police (ACLC) of Islamabad has busted a three–member gang of car lifters gang who was also involved in various dacoities and recovered stolen car and weapons from their possession.
On the special directions of Islamabad Inspector General of police Tahir Alam Khan, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a special team headed by in–charge ACLC Cell Fayyaz Ranjha to arrest those involved in car–lifting incidents.
This team including ASIs Manzoor– Elahi, Zohara Khan, Nadir Ali and others worked hard and succeeded to nab three car–lifters besides recovering stolen car and three pistols along with ammunition from them. The nabbed persons have been identified as Aamir Khan s/o Khalid Khan resident of District Gujranwala, Khalil Ahmed s/o of Ismail and Bhadar Ali s/o Manzoor Hussain residents of Sihala Islamabad who confessed to lift car and commit dacoities in the area of Ramna, Shahzad Town and Margalla.
Further investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for more recovery from them. Meanwhile, Sihala, Shahzad Twon, Koral, Khana and Kohsar police arrested eight accused namely Waqar, Adalat khan, Waqar, Amjad, Samer, Ibrahim, Bashar Shaeen, Nabeela Akhtar and recovered 34 wine bottles and 3 pistols along with ammunition from their possession. SSP Islamabad Mir Vais Niaz has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance in their respective area and curb activities of anti–social elements.
