Islamabad: 8 gamblers among 14 miscreants arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 18 outlaws from various areas of the city besides recovering one stolen car, weapons, stake money and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, station house officer of the Aabpara Police Station along with police team including Assistant Sub–Inspector Khuram Shahzad raided at Sector G-7/1 and arrested eight gamblers red handed. They were identified as Waseem, Javed Iqbal, Shamoon, Iftikhar, Shahbaz,Tariq, Khalid, and Jamshed while police seized stake money from them.
In another incident the Bhara Kahu police arrested an accused Hashmat Ali and recovered stolen car from him. Shalimar police arrested a drug pusher Aneel and recovered narcotics from him. Khana police arrested an accused Rashid for having 30 bore pistol while Koral police nabbed Mukhtar in possession of 30 bore pistol.
Golra police arrested two accused Shaukat and Irum for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. Lohi Bher police arrested four accused namely Shaukat , Naveed, Fouzia Akhtar and Shakeela allegedly involved in immoral activities. Cases have been registered against these arrested persons and further investigation is underway.
In a separate incident Islamabad Police have arrested 13 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said.
He said that Islamabad Senior Superintendent Police Mir Vais Niaz directed all sub–divisional and station house officers to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation at slum areas.
