Peshawar: Most wanted terrorist arrested
PESHAWAR: A special police unit has arrested a most wanted terrorist during a raid on Wednesday. The special unit on a tip-off raided a hideout in the city area and nabbed the alleged terrorist, identified as Farooq, who was involved in the attacks on Matni and Sarband Police Stations and other activities of sabotage.
The police said that the suspect was resident of Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency and belonged to a proscribed organisation. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had announced Rs 0.5 million head money on the terrorist. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the attacks on the two police stations. The suspect was shifted to an unspecified location for further interrogation.
