4 dacoits arrested in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police have arrested four dacoits involved in several cases of dacoity and recovered cash, electronic equipment as well as other valuables from them, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
According to details, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas had constituted a special team headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon, Sub–Inspector Tariq Rauf and others which succeeded to arrest four persons identified as Faheem Akram, Attique, Liaqat Ali and Dildar Ali. The police also recovered electronic equipment and other valuables from them.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused Faheem and Attique confessed to have taken away two cell phones and internet device from House # 179, St # 61, sector G-7/2 on April 25, 2015.
The other accused Liaqat Ali confessed to have snatched cash, mobile phones and having taken away buffaloes from the cattle dens of Faisal Iqbal and Abdul Qadoos in the areas of Sihala and Loi Bher police stations respectively. The police also recovered 13 buffaloes from the accused. Dildar Ali confessed his involvement in pick pocketing and theft activities. Further investigation is underway from all the accused and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.
Separately, Bhara Kahu police have arrested three drug pushers and recovered 3.160 kilograms of hashish and 120 grams of heroin from them. The nabbed persons have been identified as Aamir Shehzad, Khizar Mehmud and Abdul Qudoos while further investigation is underway.
