The Airport Security Force on Saturday arrested a former PIA employee after recovering two kg heroin worth Rs20 million from his luggage at Lahore airport.
Seventy-two persons lost their lives last week, of whom 17 were shot dead, 15 were murdered, four were burnt to death, one committed suicide, one drowned, 12 bodies were recovered and 22 died in accidents.
Three lawyers were shot dead and a fourth was wounded here on Wednesday in what appeared to be a targeted sectarian attack. Gunmen sprayed the lawyers’ car with bullets on Maulana Din Mohammad Wafai Road near Pakistan Chowk when they were going home from City Courts. One of the deceased was a senior lawyer and the others his son and nephew.
