A motorbike dealer was shot dead and his associate wounded in what appeared to be an act of targeted killing in a New Karachi locality, police said on Friday.
A policeman was killed in Orangi Town in what police said a targeted attack on Tuesday. Sub-Inspector Aleem Shah was gunned down near Baloch Goth when he was heading for work.
A security guard was gunned down in Ancholi, Federal B Area in the jurisdiction of Gulberg Police Station.
The Express Tribune reported on Monday that during the last 17 hours, 11 people have been killed in a fresh wave of target killings in different areas of Karachi.
Ancholi area of the country’s biggest metropolis turned violent late Wednesday when people protesting target killing of Shahzad Raza in Bahadurabad resorted to set public property on fire, leaving law enforcement agencies with no option to go for shelling and firing, the Daily Jang reported Thursday.
