SHAHDADPUR: A youth raped a 12–year–old mentally retarded girl today. A young boy took away the girl, in a house at Noorabad colony in the town and raped her.
FAISALABAD: An 11–year–old girl has been raped twice in 10 days allegedly by her teacher at a private school. Samundri City police registered a case against two suspects under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code on Monday night and both the arrested accused were sent to Lahore for a DNA test on Wednesday.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Mir Badshah Qaisrani, a newly elected member of the Punjab Assembly was jailed for two years and fined Rs5,000 for holding fake degree. The Taunsa police had registered the case against Mir Qaisrani on Feb 6 last year on a report of the deputy election commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan. The MPA, who is the chief of the Qaisrani tribe, was taken into custody and sent to jail soon after the announcement of verdict by District and Sessions Judge Wajahat Hussain Khan.
ISLAMABAD: A son of retired DSP and his three accomplices were arrested for their alleged involvement in fraud. They in the guise of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials made a deal with an accused for his release, police said on Monday. The police said that the NAB officials had handed over the accused, including the son of the late DSP to Industrial Area police. The police said the fraudsters approached the family of a NAB accused offering them to get the case against him quashed if they greased their palm.
PESHAWAR: Police recovered a kidnapped boy and arrested three alleged abductors including two women during a raid in the limits of Paharipura police station here on Monday. Speaking at a press conference at Paharipura police station, SP Khalid Mehmood said that three-year-old Tufail Ameen was kidnapped by a gang of abductors from outside his residence on May 23, 2013. Gul Hassan, the father of the kidnapped boy, informed local police that his son left his residence to play with other children but did not come back.
LAHORE: A team of the City District Government of Lahore on Monday raided 12 shops of meat sellers and got criminal cases registered against two butchers for selling unhygienic meat and illegal slaughtering of animals. Officials said the team comprising meat inspectors raided shops in Samanabad, Gulshan-i-Ravi, Babu Sabu and other localities and imposed fine for selling unhygienic meat.
