KALAT: Unknown assailants shot and killed prayer a leader here on Sunday, Geo News reported. Police said Imam Ziaullah, who was the prayer leader of Civil Hospital mosque, came under attack while he was on his way home after leading Namaz-e-Isha (the fifth prayer of the day). He was rushed to the hospital, where medics tried to revive him but his injuries proved fatal. He was later pronounced dead. Police have registered a case against the unknown attackers who successfully made off after murdering Ziaullah.
QUETTA: Four bullet–riddled bodies, including that of a sepoy, were found in Kalat and Mashkay areas of Balochistan on Monday. Levies Force personnel rushed to the Mohammad Toway area in Kalat after they received information about the presence of bodies there, sources said. They took the bodies to the Kalat district hospital. Bullet marks were visible on the slain men’s heads and chests and their hands and legs were tied, officials said. The dead were identified as Sudheer Ahmed, Hidayatullah and Jumma Khan, a sepoy of the Balochistan Constabulary.
KALAT: Two people were killed and another was injured in an armed clash in the Iskalko area on Tuesday. Police said that exchange of fire took place between two groups of the Dogro community, in which two persons were killed and another was injured. The police shifted the injured to Kalat Civil Hospital.
KALAT: Unidentified armed men shot dead two people in Kalat late on Saturday night, Police said. Unidentified gunmen opened fire at two persons in the Dasht–e-Goran area of Kalat district, killing them on the spot. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The dead were identified as Allah Bakhsh and Abdul Wahid. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
QUETTA: Four people, including two women were killed in two separate incidents of firing in Naseerabad and Jhal Magsi districts, on Sunday. In the first incident, two people were killed and another wounded in an armed clash between two groups in Gott Behram Buledi of Tehsil Dera Murad Jamali area of Naseerabad. The deceased were identified as Pahind Khan and Altaf Hussain while the injured had been identified as Bakshal Jakarani.
QUETTA: Three men were killed by unknown assailants in unrelated incidents of violence across Balochistan on Sunday. Dad Muhammad died on the spot after unidentified gunmen opened fire on him in the Killi Kamolo area of Quetta, police officials told The Express Tribune. A resident of Kalat, he was in Quetta on a family visit, they added.
QUETTA: Unknown armed bandits looted two trucks in different incidents on National Highway near Surab area of Kalat district. Police said here Thursday that Quetta-bound truck carrying clothes from Karachi was on its way when seven armed robbers intercepted it and tied its driver and conductor with ropes. Later, bandits took away the goods worth of millions from the truck on late Wednesday night.
KALAT: Unknown armed men wounded a woman and kidnapped four people at gunpoint from Chapar area of Kalat, officials said. The armed men stopped a passenger wagon which was on its way to the Chati area and kidnapped four people at gunpoint. The identity of the hostages could not be ascertained. The kidnappers shot the woman and fled from the scene.
QUETTA: A Hindu trader along with his driver was kidnapped in the Ferozabad area, some 30 kilometres away from Khuzdar district, security officials said on Thursday.
According to Balochistan Levies, the trader identified as Dr Ashok Kumar, was a resident of Hyderabad and was on his way to Naal from Khuzdar in his pickup truck when a group of armed men intercepted and abducted the trader along with his driver and two labourers at gun point.
KALAT: Unknown men gunned down a man upon resistance whilst they were robbing him of his car here on the National Highway near Tehsil Surab on Sunday. According to the Levies Force, the victim was on his way back home in his personal vehicle when some armed men in a vehicle intercepted him. The victim was shot dead when he resisted.
