SUKKUR: A woman, Nusrat (30) was gunned down by her brother-in-law, Jawed Buriro, over suspicion of having illicit relations with someone in Kandh Kot on Sunday night, the Dawn News reported Tuesday. The Police have sent the dead body to a local hospital for autopsy besides arresting the culprit.
SUKKUR: Police launched a crackdown in the city on Sunday and got Abdullah Tanwari and Ghulam Hussain Tanwari, abducted eight days ago, released from the custody of Shahzore Bajkani kidnappers group in the Miani area within the jurisdiction of Kandhkot-Kashmore Police Stations, the Dawn News reported Monday. The kidnappers managed to escape the scene.
SUKKUR: As reported by the Dawn News, a young sheepman was caught in a cross firing on Wednesday between two tribesmen, belonged to Sawand and Sabzoi tribes, near Kandhkot in village Jan Mohammad Sawand, in the limits of Ghoraghat police station.
SUKKUR: A man, Munir Ahmed Gollato, shot dead his wife, Mumtaz Khatoon, within the precincts of Risadar Muhallah of Kandh Kot here Wednesday on the pretext of Karo-Kari, The News reported Thursday. Police are yet to arrest the accused.
SUKKUR: In the tribal dispute between Aughahi and Taighani clans that has claimed over 100 lives, a person of the Aughahi tribe, Abdul Ghaffar Aughahi, was shot dead by the Taighani men on Sunday after kidnapping him from a Kandh Kot-bound coach coming from Karachi near Khanpur, The News reported Monday.
SUKKUR: A man, Samiullah Jakhrani, was assassinated while two others, Karimullah Jakhrani and Sodho Naseerani, were seriously wounded when two clans, i.e. Jakhrani and Naseerani, exchanged fire over a Karo-Kari dispute in Buxapur, Kandhkot-Kashmore District here Wednesday, the Dawn News reported Thursday.
SUKKUR: As reported by the Dawn News, three people Kashmir Ogahi, Amanullah Ogahi and Subhan Ogahi were killed and Ghunio Ogahi was injured, on Sunday, when armed men blocked their way and opened fire on them near Ali Bux Ogahi village in Kandhkot.
KHANDH KOT: According to the Daily Kawish, a car driver, identified as Hamid Malik, was kidnapped with the car, when he was headed towards Kashmore. The kidnappers contacted his uncle and demanded Rs 1 million for his safe release; the armed persons also demanded money from the car’s owner in order to get his vehicle back.
