LARKANA: Rangers and Custom have recovered 600 kilogrammes of Charas and arrested an accused during a raid here on Thursday.
LARKANA: An attempt to kidnap an eight–year–old Kainaat was foiled here on Sunday. Reports said a woman tried to kidnap Kainaat, daughter of a municipal employee Abdul Ghaffar Kori of Bhutta Wandh Muhalla, Ratodero. People rushed for rescue listening to the child’s cries and shouts, caught the woman saved the girl.
LARKANA: A team of the Sukkur FIA nabbed two employees of the National Bank, Naudero branch, on Thursday after an audit team found a shortage of around Rs7.4 million. The suspects were identified as cash custodian Munwwar Ali Soomro and joint cash custodian Muharram Ali Leghari. Sources close to the probe body told Dawn that the cash custodian had locked himself in the strong room after taking tranquillisers three days ago. But he was rescued and admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital in a state of unconsciousness.
LARKANA: Local police claimed on Wednesday to have recovered two kidnap victims Izhar Hussain Brohi and Abdul Aziz Vessar and arrested five abductors including a woman. Addressing a press conference, Larkana SSP Syed Pir Muhammed Shah said police had cordoned off an area near the village of Baharo in Khairpur Mir’s on tip-off about the presence of the kidnappers and their victims.
LARKANA: Four women robbed a jeweller of 12 Tolas of gold. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of the Market Police Station of the city on Monday. Reports said in the famous Resham Gali of Larkana, which remains as busy a bazaar as Tariq Road of Karachi, four women entered the Abbas Jewellery Shop. They expressed willingness to see and buy gold ornaments but went out of the shop without making any purchases.
LARKANA: Two young girls were recovered from a coaster on a tip-off that they were being transported to a place for sale to some wealthy persons, Wagan police said on Sunday. According to the police, Laxmi, 16, and Mansha, 18, were accompanying a man, Ghulam Mustafa Chutto, who was reported to be involved in human trafficking. Acting upon a tip-off, police intercepted the coaster near Wagan town and took the suspect and the girls in custody.
LARKANA: The police busted an inter–provincial gang of criminals involved in trade of human hair and bones and recovered 40-kg hairs from their possession here on Saturday. According to details, Taluka Police Station SHO Mian Khan Durani raided a graveyard near Village Khedkar district Larkana and apprehended Maqbool and Muhammad Sajad inside graveyard at Village Khedkar in the vicinity of Larkana and recovered 40 kg hairs from their possession.
LARKANA: A man was booked for forcing his wife, a mother of five, to drink a poisonous liquid and gagging her to death when she refused in Gul Kalhoro village on the outskirts of Sujawal Junejo town on Thursday. According to villagers, Abdul Lateef Kalhoro drove his wife Razia, 35, on a motorcycle to a graveyard about half a kilometre from the village and forced her to swallow some poisonous liquid in a bottle. When she resisted he strangulated her to death and escaped, they said.
LARKANA: Police arrested a man on Sunday on the charges of kidnapping and beheading a six-year-old boy. Father of the boy Shahnawaz Bughio had registered an FIR nominating two brothers, Ghulam Mustafa Bughio and Darya Khan Bughio, in the kidnapping and mysterious killing of his minor son Shakeel Ahmed Bughio. Police have arrested Ghulam Mustafa while his brother is still at large.
LARKANA: Following registration of three FIRs by the Waleed police station on Wednesday against 20 persons, including three police officers, for encroaching government land and constructing houses and shops on it, police on Thursday demolished all illegal constructions. The official in charge of the Larkana CIA, Abdul Qadir Chandio, said to be the key character behind the constructions on the land of the telegraph and police departments near the taluka police station, had gone underground to escape arrest, sources said.
