Layyah: 3 policemen booked for murder

According to the Dawn News on Sunday, a judicial inquiry has held responsible three police officials for the killing of a citizen of Chowk Azam. Reports said Muhammad Imitiaz alias Waliya of Ward No 10 was wanted in three criminal cases by the Chowk Azam police. On Sept 7, a police team headed by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sharif Malana along with constables Muhammad Akran, Khuda Bakhsh, Muhammad Mairaj, Amir Irshad, Zahur Bakhsh, Muhammad Zaman and Asad Javed raided the house of Muhammad Waheed in Ward No 6.

Karachi: Non-bailable arrest warrants against 2 officers issued

As reported by the Dawn News, a judicial magistrate issued non-bailable arrest warrants on Wednesday, for two police officer, Irshad Ahmed and Faqir Dad, and two private witnesses for failing to appear in court to record their statements in a fraud case.

As reported by The News, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court (LHC) cancelled on Monday the bail (granted by sessions court) of Shahid Malik, accused of assisting Umar Farooq, ex husband of model Sofia Mirza, in snatching and taking her two minor daughters, Zainab and Zunaira, out of the country.

According to The Nation, Tariq Masood Yaseen, DIG Traffic, suspended on Wednesday ten police officers, including one Inspector and nine wardens, (also granted penalty of sending them on close line to 17 other traffic officers) on the charges of showing negligence while discharging their duty.

As reported by the Pakistan Observer, Muhammad Aslam Tareen, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), has suspended SHO Lower Mall Inspector Nazir Ahmad Opel, SI Muhammad Aslam Incharge Police Post Data Darbar and two constables Nasir Ali and Tahir Mehmood on the charge of dereliction of duty.
